Did you know 119 billion pounds of food goes to waste in the U.S. every year? That’s equivalent to 158 billion cans of tuna. And every 40 cans of tuna feeds 25 people.
This summer, AAA launched Fuel Hope, Fight Hunger — a nationwide coordinated giving and volunteering initiative designed to support communities where we live, work and serve. Last year, the campaign generated 7.2 million meals.
If you cannot donate canned goods but would still like to fight hunger, you can donate directly to Feeding America here.
All members who donate at least $10 — 100 meals — will receive a Fuel Hope, Fight Hunger lunch box. To redeem the offer, visit any AAASJ branch – Voorhees, Sewell or Millville – and show proof of your donation.
