AAA South Jersey Sponsors Nation’s Largest One-Day Food Drive Again in 2025

VOORHEES, N.J. – AAA South Jersey is proud to sponsor the Stamp Out Hunger food drive again in 2025. The nation’s largest one-day food drive will be held on Saturday, May 10.
The donation process is simple. The week of the food drive, AAA-branded bags will be delivered to nearly 250,000 homes in the South Jersey area. Donors simply fill the bag with nonperishable food items and leave it by their mailbox on May 10. Letter carriers will pick up the bags on Saturday and deliver them to the Food Bank of South Jersey.
This May will be AAA South Jersey’s third consecutive year sponsoring the food drive. In 2024, Stamp Out Hunger collected more than 171,000 pounds of food for Food Bank of South Jersey – the highest total since 2013.
The Food Bank of South Jersey distributed more than 23 million pounds of food in 2024 – the equivalent of 19.5 million meals.
“Unfortunately, the number of food insecure individuals continues to grow in our community. However, South Jersey is fortunate to have the Food Bank of South Jersey stepping up to help those in need. As the summer approaches and schools are not in session, this food drive will be a huge relief to children and families in our area. AAA South Jersey is proud to play a small part in that mission,” AAA spokesperson Matt Bowker said.
In June, AAA is partnering with Feeding America for Tow Away Hunger, the first coordinated, national charitable campaign in AAA’s modern history. The goal is to provide over 3.5 million meals across the United States during the summer, a time when contributions are low and food insecurity is elevated. The effort will include volunteering and financial donations across AAA's footprint.
