Enrolling in AAA South Jersey’s Driving School doesn’t just provide students with the 6 hours of lessons they need, we help both you and your soon-to-be-driver during the entire process with professional instructors and experienced staff.

Overview

16 Year Old Student Process

Written Test Needed

1. Enroll in a six- or eight-hour driving course at AAA South Jersey.

2. Stop in a AAA South Jersey branch to provide documents and to complete permit application.

  • Student must be present.
  • Driver Manual and Study Guide provided before test.
  • Permit must and will be processed by AAA at MVC by a licensed Instructor or Authorized Agent.

3. Meet at a MVC Agency that offers Written Tests.

  • First attempt is included.

4. Upon Passing Written Test, student’s six- or eighthour course is then scheduled.

5. Once completed, the permit is validated and released to the student, so they may practice.

  • At validation, the road test can be scheduled by the student if they choose.

6. [Elite Package Only] Students must schedule their Road Test with MVC. Once scheduled, appointment time must be provided to AAA for Road Test Services.

  • Road Test Practice is provided 2 hours prior to the scheduled road test time with MVC.

Written Test Passed in High School

1. Enroll in a six- or eight-hour driving course at AAA South Jersey.


2. Stop in a AAA South Jersey branch to provide documents and to complete permit application.

  • Student must be present.
  • Permit must and will be processed by AAA at MVC by a licensed Instructor or Authorized Agent.


3. In 2-3 business days, student’s six- or eight-hour course will then be scheduled via phone call.


4. Once lessons are completed, the permit is validated and released to the student so they may practice.

  • At validation, the road test can be scheduled by the student if they choose.


5. [Elite Package Only] Students must schedule their Road Test with MVC. Once scheduled, appointment time must be provided to AAA for Road Test Service.

  • Road Test Practice is provided 2 hours prior to the scheduled road test time with MVC.
