What to Pack in Your Winter Emergency Car Kit

Winter weather is officially here as the South Jersey area has already begun to experience colder temperatures, ice, and snowstorms. Before you hit the road this winter, make sure your car’s battery is working properly and that you have a cold weather emergency road kit packed in your vehicle. By taking a few preventative steps now, you can drive with greater peace of mind later.
Cold temperatures are hard on your car battery, but AAA Members can use their membership to schedule a battery test at AAA.com/Battery (http://www.AAA.com/Battery). A Battery Service Technician will come to your location (at home, work, hotel, etc.) to test your battery. If needed, most batteries can be replaced onsite.
In addition to battery testing, you can prepare for winter travel by creating an emergency road kit to keep in your car. Having a winter emergency road kit on hand can help you make it through an unexpected breakdown more comfortably and safely.
