Before you hit the open road, make sure you’re prepared with all the essentials to create a stress-free journey. It may not be the best part of the trip but packing and preparation is definitely the most important. Here at AAA South Jersey, we want to help you have the road-trip of a lifetime whether it’s two days or two weeks with our 3 P’s method – Prepped, Planned, and Packed!

Get Prepared to Rule the Road

Don’t just pack up the car and step on the gas – make sure your car is ready to take on the highways and hills along the way with a pre-road trip tune-up. Bring your vehicle to a AAA Approved Auto Repair shop (see page 11). All AAA Approved facilities meet stringent requirements for industry certifications, plus members save 10% on labor costs (up to $50) and receive a 24-month, 24,000-mile warranty on parts and labor!* Find an approved facility near you at AAA.com/AutoRepair. Dead car battery? Contact AAA Mobile Battery Service. AAA technicians will come to you to test your battery and charging system where and when you need it. If your battery test fails, a technician will replace your battery on-the-spot to get you back on the road (learn more on page 4). AAA members also save a minimum of $25 on the battery price! Rent For a Road Trip

Not sure about taking your own car for the trek? Don’t worry, we have you covered there too! Instead of putting extra miles on your own vehicle, consider renting an SUV with plenty of cargo space from Hertz, Dollar, or Thrifty.
