VOORHEES, N.J. – A South Jersey Goodwill store has put out an urgent call for help and AAA South Jersey is here to offer a hand.
In January, the Goodwill Store & Donation Center in Egg Harbor Township was the victim of a suspicious fire. According to Goodwill, smoke and water damage destroyed 100% of the store’s inventory.
The nonprofit is now asking the South Jersey community for donations to restock the temporarily closed store.
Now through Friday, March 8, AAA South Jersey will be collecting donations from employees, members, and community members to benefit the Egg Harbor Township Goodwill.
Goodwill is encouraging donations of clothing, accessories, shoes, toys, housewares, and more. Please see below for the full list of what can and cannot be donated.
Donations can be dropped off at any of AAA South Jersey’s three locations:
On Friday, March 8, AAA South Jersey will be hosting a Stuff the Truck event to accept donations from the public. The event will be from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Voorhees office, located at 700 Laurel Oak Road.
Members of the public are encouraged to drop off any unwanted items on the approved “What to Donate” list (see below) during the time period to help us fill up our AAA van with donations. Once the van is full, we will drop off everything at Goodwill.
Goodwill in Egg Harbor Township, located at 6701 Black Horse Pike in Atlantic County, is currently open for donations only – weekdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
