Is My Battery Dead?
Helpful Next Steps to Get you Going
TIGHTEN UP
It’s possible that your terminals have loosened up over time, due to changing temperatures and vibration. Locate your battery and attempt to twist the clamps to see if they are loose. If they are, tighten the clamps and attempt to start your vehicle.
CLEAN IT UP
No, that’s not snow: its corrosion! If your terminals are dirty or corroded, it can cause excessive resistance, and ultimately a slow, or no start. Clean off your terminals using a brush, gloves, and safety glasses. Do not touch with bare hands, or allow contact with clothes, as you’ll quickly find holes in your favorite pants!
